W.A. Hail Memorial Scholarship

The W.A. Hail Memorial Scholarship was established in December of 2018. This scholarship is awarded to a student in good standing with a junior or senior classification. This student must be majoring in criminal justice or a related field major and have the intent to pursue a career in law enforcement. W.A. Hail was a Tarleton police officer who died in the line of duty in 1978. His family wishes to honor his memory by impacting future generations of Tarleton students who are in pursuit of law enforcement careers, in order to cement his legacy for years to come. Patrolman Hail was a WWII veteran and had served with the Tarleton State College Police Department for nine years.
