Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Nix

The Comanche County Scholarship was established in 1998. The recipient of the scholarship must be a graduate from a high school in Comanche County.

The Mills County Scholarship was established in 2002 by Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Nix and Mrs. W. L. Nix. The recipient of the scholarship must be a graduate from a high school in Mills County.

The Tarleton Alumni Association Mickey & Stella Nix Maguire Scholarship was established in 1997 by a gift from Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Nix of Stephenville and the Tarleton Alumni Association. This scholarship honors two very good friends of Tarleton State University and is awarded to a child or grandchild of a Tarleton State University former student.

The W.L. and Barbara Nix Erath County Scholarship was also established in 2003 by Mr. & Mrs. Nix. The recipient of this scholarship must be a graduate from a high school in Erath County involved in extra-curricular activities and work experience. Mrs. Nix passed away in 2011. Mr. Nix passed away in 2013.
