Mrs. Jessy Mays Sheffield

The William Henry & Jessy Mays Sheffield Scholarship was established in 1955 by Mrs. Jessy Mays Sheffield. The scholarship was named the William Henry Sheffield Scholarship in honor of her husband, who attended Tarleton State College. The purpose of the scholarship is to aid worthy students in completing their education. Mrs. Sheffield passed away in 1971, at which time the scholarship was renamed to honor them both.
