Mr. Joe Howard

The Jana Williamson Memorial Scholarship was established by Mr. Joe Howard in memory of his wife in 1976. Ms. Williamson was a Tarleton student who was killed in a car accident. At the time of her death, she was a senior business major, a member of the Tarleton rodeo team, and was elected rodeo queen in 1975. She was ranked among the top 15 barrel racers in the Southwest Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. The scholarship is awarded to a rodeo athlete.
