Mr. Bob Scott

The Sue McGinity Endowed Scholarship was created by Mr. Bob Scott in Memory of Sue McGinity. Dr. Sue McGinity taught in the English Department at Tarleton from 1968 to 1987 where her areas of special interest were folklore and folk music. Although a private person, McGinity was a well-liked and respected professor during her tenure at Tarleton. Unfortunately, her life and teaching career were cut short due to illness, and McGinity passed away at the age of 66 in 1999. This scholarship is awarded to a
Tarleton student who is majoring in English.
