Jessica and Johnie Hogland

Jessica and Johnie Hogland created the Jamie Renee Richards-Hogland Memorial Scholarship Endowment in her memory. Jamie was a 19-year old pre-nursing major at Tarleton State University from 2016-2019. She became a quadriplegic after she was the victim of a shooting at her apartment. Jamie’s tenacity and will to continue her education provided a source of strength to her peers as well as prospective students who were tempted to give up their pursuit of education. Her legacy of encouragement and perseverance through this scholarship will continue to provide opportunities and inspiration to future students.
