Friends and Family of John H. Garner

The John Garner Memorial Mathematics Scholarship was established in May of 2019. This fund was created by family and friends in loving memory of John H. Garner, who was a former professor of mathematics at Tarleton State University. John was the youngest of five children and grew up on a peach farm in Texas. His family valued hard work and education. With that spirit, it is hoped that this scholarship will assist current Tarleton students majoring in mathematics. This scholarship is awarded to full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate students. Recipients must major in mathematics and preference will be given to a student from a single-parent household and/or non-traditional student.
