Friends and Family of Dr. Richard T. Shigley

The Richard T. Shigley Endowed Scholarship was established by the friends and family of Dr. Richard T. Shigley. Throughout his career at Tarleton, Shigley served as the Director of Criminal Justice, as well as an Associate Professor in the criminal justice program, and as the Department Head of Social Work, Sociology and Criminal Justice. Dr. Shigley passed away Oct. 9, 2007. This scholarship is awarded to a criminal justice major who demonstrates a need for financial assistance and, has a 3.2 overall GPA with a 3.5 GPA in major field.
