Family of Dr. Barbara McGregor, along with Dr. Barbara McGregor

This fund is established in honor of Dr. Barbara R. McGregor. Dr. Barbara McGregor earned her BA. and M.A. in English from Tarleton in 1972 and 1975 respectively then attended Texas Christian University where she earned her Ph.D. in English in 1985. She had a very successful career at Weatherford College, serving as English Faculty, Humanities Division Chair, and Institutional Advancement Director. While teaching at Weatherford College, Dr. McGregor was honored for her superior teaching as a Piper Professor Award winner. After retiring from Weatherford College Dr. McGregor became an Adjunct professor at Tarleton, her alma mater, continuing the tradition of educating students earning a college degree. The criteria for this scholarship is based upon Dr. McGregor herself being a non-traditional student while earning all three of her degrees.
