Family and Friends of H.H. Hassler, Jr.

The H.H. Hassler Memorial Scholarship was established in June of 1989. This scholarship was created as a memorial by family and friends of H.H. Hassler. H.H. Hassler, Jr. was a great lover of horses. Growing up in Stephenville, he lived during a time
when horses were the only mode of transportation. Upon graduating from Tarleton, he devoted his time to public education for over 30 years. He was a strong supporter of the development of the equine program when it began at Tarleton. Prior to his death, he periodically served as a guest lecturer for several of the horse production classes.
