Family and Friends of Dr. Jesse Tackett

The Dr. Jesse L. Tackett Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003 by the family and friends of Dr. Jesse Tackett. Dr. Tackett was a long time professor of Agronomy at Tarleton. In 1971, Dr. Tackett became the first Dean of the College of Agriculture and Business. Dr. Tackett served Tarleton for over 30 years before retiring in 1998. He was named Dean Emeritus in 1999. Dr. Tackett passed away in 2003. This scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in Agriculture.
