Dominic and Lisette Dottavio

The Dominic and Lisette Dottavio Student Success Scholarship was established in 2010. This scholarship is awarded annually to students enrolled in Tarleton State University who are in good academic standing with the university and are classified as sophomore or higher level students, including graduate level students. Dr. F. Dominic Dottavio served as Tarleton’s 15th president for 11 years between 2008 and 2019. He and his wife, First Lady Dr. Lisette Dottavio, were always active within the Tarleton community, going out of their way to attend as many athletic events, band concerts, and student gatherings as possible. The Drs. Dottavio truly believe in Tarleton’s core values of Tradition, Integrity, Civility, Leadership, Excellence, and Service and did as much as they could to encourage and instill these values within the Tarleton community. The Dottavios truly care about Tarleton and its students, and it is their hope that the establishment of this scholarship will encourage retention and student success.
