Christine Montgomery

Christine Montgomery established the Col. David F. Montgomery Memorial Rdoeo Scholarship Endowment to honor her father, David F. Montgomery. He was born on June 9, 2016, and passed on September 26, 2007. David married Kathleen McNulty on March 28, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. He lived in Stephenville for 43 years, moving to Stephenville in 1964, from Amarillo, Texas. Colonel Montgomery, a retired Air Force Colonel, served as a pilot in England, France, and Germany during World War II. He was stationed at The United Nations Military Command Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan during the Korean War. He served at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and Air Force Headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany. He was a Methodist and was past manager of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Optimist and Lions Club, the American Legion Post 240, and the Erath County Sheriff’s Posse and Livestock Association. He was also a Real Estate Broker.

Christine also established the Kathleen Montgomery Memorial Nursing Scholarship Endowment to honor her mother, Kathleen McNulty Montgomery. Kathleen was born on September 11, 1923, and passed away on October 26, 2006. She married David F. Montgomery on March 28, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas. She as a Lt. Col. in the US Army Air Force Nurse Corps and served in the Philippines during World War II. She was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.
