Audie and Zera Floyd Educational Trust
The Audie & Zera Floyd Educational Trust Scholarship was established in 2006 by the Audie and Zera Floyd Educational Trust for the students and employees of the De Leon Public Schools at Tarleton State University. This scholarship was established upon the death of the Floyds’ daughter, Anna Faye Floyd Crockett. The Floyd’s had lived a frugal life in Comanche County so that, upon their deaths, the remainder of their estate would be used to create an educational trust fund for economically disadvantaged students. Scholarships are also available to current employees of the De Leon Independent School District under the same admission requirements.
