Mrs. Cooper Adams

The Philip and Ruth Bratten Scholarship was established in 1983 by Mrs. Cooper Adams in memory of her parents. The Brattens were natives of Ohio until World War I when they moved to Texas. They bought a ranch in Hood County near Granbury where they spent a great deal of their time. They were very interested in education and because they realized the critical importance of a plentiful supply of water, the scholarship is awarded to a worthy Hydrology major.
